The project, which will include parking for apartment residents and shoppers at new stores along Broadway and in the New Seasons, is likely to change the face of Broadway and NE 33rd Avenue. The crossing is one of the busiest in Northeast Portland.
Lauren Jones, a Sullivan’s Gulch resident who works for developer Capstone Partners, said the city issued the project a grading permit. The developers are waiting for a building construction before they begin.
To alleviate traffic, the developers applied for a new stop light at NE 32nd Avenue. Capstone will pay for the light.
